We are the Spark*l Squad

Spark*l began with a simple idea: fashion is versatile, and your smart watch deserves to be part of your style.

Our story

Like many companies, Spark*l started with something we wanted for ourselves. There were so few beautiful options for smart watches, so we created a band that could stand in for the purely functional rubber Apple Watch band. Then we began working designer canvas into our bands, pairing its luxury with our modern bohemian style.

As friends spread the word, we grew. We moved into a bigger space, welcomed more artisans to the team, and have been dedicated to the future of fashion ever since. Today Spark*l ships watchbands all around the world, and every band is handcrafted with love in San Luis Obispo, California.

A letter from our founder

My name is Courtney, and I'm the founder of Spark*l. I started this business in 2016, when I couldn't find stylish band options for my Apple Watch.

We grew from my craft table, to my garage, to our artisan studio today. I'm honored and proud to say we have elevated the style of tens of thousands of women of all sizes, all around the world.

Our mission is to help every woman sparkle and to turn every smart watch into a gorgeous accessory, all while giving back to nonprofits and keeping our commitment to sustainability.

Purpose

We offer high-quality luxury fashion that brings the iconic canvas of designer brands to modern, elegant smart watch bands. Crafting our bands from vintage designer bags that can no longer be used makes sustainability part of who we are. We hope to make sustainable fashion a goal for every fashion company.

Creativity and originality guide everything we make. Every accessory is designed and crafted to enhance the look and style of the person wearing it. We honor the traditional, iconic materials of designer brands by giving them a new life.

Our accessories are made from pre-loved authentic designer canvas and thick genuine leather, finished with sturdy brass studs and Swarovski crystals. Each piece is made to last, and we love helping you find the perfect one.
