Congratulations on your new Spark*l band or accessory. Each piece is designed and handcrafted to last for years, and like any luxury item, a little care keeps it looking beautiful.
These simple tips cover the most common mistakes, so your Spark*l pieces keep their natural beauty.
Cleaning
Wipe with a soft cloth
Clean your bands and accessories with a dry, soft cloth.
Use leather cleaner on leather
For upcycled designer leather and canvas, and for new leather, use a leather cleaner.
Dab canvas, exotics and patent leather
Gently dab with a light, clean, neutral-colored cloth. Canvas can also be cleaned with mild soap and water or alcohol-free baby wipes.
Blot exotic hair-on hides
Hair-on hides are the most delicate. Blot gently with a white cloth and let air dry.
Let it dry fully
After cleaning, wait until your band is completely dry (about 24 hours) before wearing it again.
Everyday wear
Keep it dry
Like most leather goods, Spark*l bands and accessories are not waterproof, water resistant or submersible. Water can greatly shorten the life of your band, and water damage isn't covered by our Lifetime Repair/Replacement Guarantee. Keep those beauties dry.
Choose the right band for the activity
Yes, you can wear your band during workouts. If you plan to break a sweat, we recommend a band with a coated canvas topper and a dark lining.
Skip the chores
Take off your bands and set aside leather accessories while cleaning or doing housework. Chemicals in cleaning products can break down the materials faster.
Keep oils and beauty products away
Oils, makeup, perfume, cologne, creams and hand sanitizer can affect the quality of upcycled designer and new leather, and can change the color and finish of any Spark*l piece.
Watch out for new denim
Dye from newly dyed denim (hello, new jeans) can rub off onto your band as your wrist brushes against it.
Be gentle with designer leather
Designer leather is often more delicate and can scratch or scuff easily. Over time it develops a lovely patina that makes each piece uniquely yours.
Rotate your bands
Even the most durable pieces wear over time. Many of our customers rotate between their Spark*l bands to extend the life and beauty of every one.
Store it well
Keep bands you aren't wearing in a canvas, cotton or cloth bag, in a cool, dark, dry place away from direct heat and humidity.
Wear the right size
